“Robot Visions”

Robot Visions is a collection of short stories by Isaac Asimov.
The stories are about robots and humans living together in the future.

Asimov did not write about robots as monsters. Instead, he showed robots as intelligent machines created to help humans.
However, problems appear when humans do not understand technology or use it in the wrong way.

Many of the stories are connected by one important idea: robots must follow special rules called The Three Laws of Robotics.
These laws control robot behavior and try to protect human beings.

The stories ask important questions:

• Can humans really control technology?
• What happens when rules are not enough?
• Who is responsible when something goes wrong?

The Three Laws of Robotics

The Three Laws were created by Isaac Asimov and appear in many of his robot stories.

1. First Law
   A robot must not hurt a human being, or allow a human to be hurt.
2. Second Law
   A robot must obey human orders, unless these orders conflict with the First Law.
3. Third Law
   A robot must protect its own existence, as long as this does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

These laws seem simple, but in the stories they often create difficult situations.
If robots follow the laws perfectly, unexpected problems can still happen.
